Samudra heads to STX for bulker pair

Jakarta: Publicly-listed PT Samudra Indonesia has put an order with South Korea's STX Shipbuilding for two bulk carriers worth US$97.6 million.
The company placed the order for the two 57,700 dwt ships through its subsidiary, Foremost Maritime Pte Ltd, PT Samudra Indonesia's corporate secretary, Diana P. Iskandar, said in a report to the Indonesia Stock Exchange on Monday.
The two ships were scheduled for completion in the first half of 2011, she said. [11/02/08]
