Goltens establishes Vietnamese workshop

Hanoi: The Norwegian group Goltens this week put into operation its first workshop in Vietnam to provide services such as overhauling diesel engines, restoring equipment on ships, and supplying material for the shipbuilding industry.
The US$2-million workshop covers an area of 1,400m2 in Dong Xuyen industrial park in the southern city of Vung Tau and has a 400m2 office complex.
Goltens will maximize its investment in the fast growing Vietnamese market, said the group’s director for Southeast Asia at the inauguration ceremony. The group will train Vietnamese workers so that they can work at Goltens sites worldwide. [30/10/09]
