U-Ming eyes LNG

Taipei: U-Ming Marine Transport, the bulk shipping unit of Taiwan’s Far Eastern Group, is continuing its diversification away from its traditional dry bulk and cement carrier roots.
Having signed up for a VLCC with two partners, including the island’s oil giant CPC, in June, U-Ming told Bloomberg in an interview this week it is now looking at entering the LNG sector. [11/12/09]
