Busan box volumes up 9.7% in January

Busan: South Korea's Busan port registered 1.36m teu of container throughput in January, according to figures from the Busan Port Authority (BPA).

The January volumes improved 9.7% compared to 1.24m teu recorded in the same period of last year.

Month-on-month, box throughput dropped from 1.4m teu seen in December 2011.

In 2011, Busan handled 16.18m teu of throughput, achieving a 14% year-on-year growth from 14.19m teu in 2010.
